Film: Americanish, Directed by Iman Zawahry

Americanish is the first feature-length film directed by Iman Zawahry. She and Aizzah Fatima co-wrote this romantic comedy. Were I not the last human on the planet who should say anything about romantic comedies, I would have written a review. So some brief remarks suffice:

It has all the elements one expects from a romantic comedy, including running down the street in formal wear being chased by a diverse cast of supporting characters. Nevertheless, there are a few surprising and even, dare I say, profound, moments in the film. So, if I can say these positive things about this romantic comedy, fans of the genre should adore it!

The four leading actresses, Lillete Dubey, Aizzah Fatima, Salena Qureshi and Shenaz Treasury, deliver wonderfully.
